Welcome to the first of four fantastic recamps of May 2013 A-Camp. In this fascinating installment, we’ll detail the very first moments of our time together on the mountain and also bears.

You’ve got swagger, fashion, comedy, whiskey, geeky pick-up lines and the coolest klub on the mountain!

In our third of four recamps, Elicia Sanchez laughs so hard she almost pees in her pants except she wasn’t wearing pants, she was wearing tights.

On the third day, they created the heaven and earth, read some poems out loud, talked about coming out and religion and spooning and discovered the truth about cats and dogs.

“Nothing better than this concert has ever happened. EVER. I saw Boyz II Men in 1994 and this was FORTY THOUSAND TIMES BETTER.”

We just put on our largest and most successful iteration of A-Camp in Ojai, CA. We’d like to gush about it for a minute, please – won’t you join us?

In which we recap the days leading up to A-Camp and the first day of A-Camp, which was a bit of a saga.

New York City A-Campers of the past, present, and future, get excited. Two brand new A-Campers have organized a pre-camp event at the Lesbian Herstory Archives for this Saturday!

We’ve got an A-Camp VIP Package plus opportunities for campers who are under 21 and a person of color with hair-cutting chops.

Even though I didn’t get to experience A-Camp in the traditionally transformative way, I got an even deeper peek into the ways that this community is both very real and deeply caring.

I’m freaking serious, this is so worth it: we’ve got one full campership for a trans woman of color with full travel included, one campership for a trans woman without travel and four camperships for trans women of color with a $100 travel stipend.
