It seems like just yesterday that Samira and Lauren were first captured Officially Lesbianing together, doesn’t it? See how time flies and soars through the sky like a bird in love with another bird? See how we are all just humans with hearts beating still as the world goes round and round, bringing people who openly wear Autostraddle Merch and hang out with Brittani Nichols together in the great embrace of matrimony? My friends, I am not here to tell you that love is not a lie, because it is, but I AM here to tell you that sometimes, for some people, love is in fact not a lie, but simply a glorious thing.

    • Constellation prize: when you not just get something for losing, but something amazing that makes the hearts of lesbians soar like the stars in the sky.

Also a perfect title for that “shoot for the moon, even if you miss you’ll land among the stars” quote

  1. I have never been this happy about a celebrity marriage before. I can’t wait till we get to start seeing engagement pictures and wedding plans and bachelorette pictures and wedding pictures…this is just gonna be the gift that keeps on giving!

Congrats ladies, and congrats to US!

  2. I came here looking for breaking news reporting and it’s exactly what I got. I’m so excited y’all. Cheers all around

  3. Came here to congratulate Stef on not bursting into to flames typing that headline, somehow less surprised to find the task delegated XD

  4. It’s the perfect love story:
    Work on television’s gayest show
Talk about lesbian sex for a year
    Realise you’re gay
Divorce your husband but stay friends
Share custody of your gorgeous sausage dog
Make out with the cutest human ever
Fall in love with said human
Make everyone fawn over your adorableness as a couple
    Get engaged ?

  5. Aww, how cute. Did Lauren get some bling too? The only downside to their union is that Samira had to leave NYC.
I would just like to make one aside comment and that is, I much preferred Lauren’s old hairstyle to this suburban soccer mom bob she’s she has now.

    • Always good when someone is happy in public to take a moment to remark upon their appearance, lol

  6. I want to have a wedding shower themed party for this but I don’t have friends IRL who would come.

Which is making me question every decision that has led to me being a grad student/teacher hermit far from home.
