Grease Bats: Bath Time

Welcome to Saturday Morning Cartoons, a segment where artists take turns delighting you with their whimsy, facts and punchlines on Saturday mornings! Grease Bats, today’s comic, is created by Archie.

Guess what! Archie’s five-year collection of Grease Bats is now a book you can hold IN THE PHYSICAL WORLD, with your HANDS, that you can read OFFLINE, that you can TUCK UNDER YOUR BED AT NIGHT! Snag a copy for you and a pal.

A hand drawn first five panels of the comic, "Grease Bats." In the first panel Andy is on Zoom via the computer and says "It's happening!" In the second panel another member of the Grease Bats crew is revealed to be in the bathtub, watching Andy on the computer, and says "This is weird!" They proceed to have a friendly argument if it's normal or cool for "two pals platonically taking baths" via Zoom during the pandemic.

In the second five hand drawn panels of the Grease Bats comics, Andy tries to convince their friend to relax in the tub. The friend asks Andy to be quiet so they can hear their Professor on the other computer — they are in zoom class while in the tub! Andy freaks out at first, but once they realize that desperate times requires desperate methods, they ultimately decide to consider the entire experiment a success!

  1. I’m so happy I finally have a bath tub again!! Bathing by candle light is one of my favorite ways to meditate / unwind. And, THANK YOU Sooooo much for adding alt text!!! I can see the drawings a little bit (enough to appreciate the artistry), and can sometimes read the speech /thoughts, but I really appreciate the labels that give a general idea of what is going on! Thanks again!
