Carmen's Team Pick: This Lemonade Stand

There's been a lot of money talk here lately, so let me just go out on a limb and say that I think Autostraddle needs money and loves you. But your fellow Autostraddlers also love you, and the world, enough to sell you lemonade. You heard me right, victims of unseasonally warm weather! LEMONADE.

Autostraddlers in New York City are going to be selling lemonade like cute little girls do, with a lemonade stand, on April 23 to raise money for pediatric cancer research and care. Have you ever heard of Alex's Lemonade? It's an organization that helps people across the country do this, every day, for the same cause: ending cancer.

So if you like lemonade (who doesn't), or Autostraddle (who doesn't), or Autostraddlers serving you lemonade (WHO DOESN'T), you should probably check it out:

aww yeah, look at this karmic loop right here. pay it forward. this makes me very happy, if i wasn’t working i’d be taking the train into the city to buy lemonade from some socially-conscious, (too)sexi ladies

Yes! We will be at South Street Seaport (in front of the Gap) all day on Saturday – we also have gift cards to various restaurants in the city that were donated, anyone can buy one & your entire dinner/lunch/lesbian brunch will go towards Autostraddle Lemonade Stand’s goal!

There will also be a follow up event at STONEWALL INN. Wednesday May 4, 6pm-9pm complete with 2-4-1 happy hour, hot ladies, & raffles. Any NYC Autostraddlers not on the NYC Autostraddle mailing list who want to stay in the loop feel free to drop me an email – garbledwords [at] gmail [dot] com.
