  1. FALL FALL FALL! I live in NorCal but went to college in upstate NY. This is the time of year that tries to still be summer here, while I get disgustingly nostalgic about leaves (and maple candy and crisp air and farm stands and squirrels and apples and pumpkins even though we have those two at least). I knit. In fall, I get to wear socks and scarves and hats and gloves and killer sweaters that I made! with my hands! It’s the best.

Basically that could be a drawing of me. Cables are great.

  2. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! Fall is the best. Hot cider, pumpkin chai (which from a place at my university does, amazingly enough, contain pumpkin), and breweries starting to roll out their porters and stouts (currently hunting for a pumpkin porter I heard about recently). I’m not so fashionable, but I’m fine with that.

  3. I’ve been calling autumn in for at least a month, and bought a new raincoat/jacket in June . . . that looks much like my other tan denim jacket. But hey, the pockets are different. #fashionable

I’m looking forward to seeing some parks in NYC with fall foliage, including Fort Tryon Park which has SO MANY huge old trees that remind me of home upstate.

    • Same. Autumn really brings out my midwest pride. Most other times I’m like, “yeah it’s the midwest it’s whatever.” But then autumn happens and everything is “Y’ALL. THE TREES. THE FOOD. THE SMELLS. DID YOU EVEN KNOW HOW BEAUTIFUL THIS GREAT UNKNOWN COULD BE?”

  4. I am SO SICK OF SWEATING. Let me tell you, I work in a place that doesn’t have insulation in one of the hot parts of Southern California so every day I have to work in a 85-90 degree building with no windows so incredible stuffiness is also an issue. I am so SO tired of it.

  5. I’m so ready for fall! I find my balance and energy in the fall and everything feels right. Summer feels like a Stress Rollercoaster™ and in comparison fall is laying on a blanket with a cutie who loves you watching the stars twinkle. I’m ready to get off this awful ride and just CHILL (emotionally and temperature wise).

  6. Guys I am so excited for fall. Cider and pumpkin spice and not getting heat exhaustion like every other week? Count me the fuck in.

(That being said if we could hold off on winter until it’s solidly December instead of getting the first snow in October, that would be super cool.)

  7. I’m normally a fall hater due to my allergies and the days getting shorter which messes with my mood – not to mention how much I adore bare skin and feet – but the stalled season change has made me feel confused and stuck in a limbo. Change is good! Change is natural, it’s what we need to progress. Which is why I’m rethinking my fall hate. :) I love school, after all! And weirdo pumpkins.
