25 Summer Soup Recipes For Keeping Your Cool

Hello and welcome to this thing we’re doing where we help you figure out what you’re gonna put in your mouth this week. Some of these are recipes we’ve tried, some of these are recipes we’re looking forward to trying, all of them are fucking delicious. Tell us what you want to put in your piehole or suggest your own recipes, and we’ll talk about which things we made, which things we loved, and which things have changed us irreversibly as people. Last week, we ate a bunch of spicy things.

It’s so hot outside that sometimes I feel like I might genuinely be melting into the sidewalk Alex Mack style, which means it’s the perfect time of year for chilled soups. They’re a hot-weather godsend, a source of comfort even when it’s too hot to slurp chicken broth. So grab a bowl and get ready to chill out, my friends. This is our moment.

  1. Cold müesli is a god during the summer! Love love love it. I like mine with strawberries and Greek yogurt and coconut, or guayaba and a little cream cheese, or with pumpkin and brown sugar. And ALWAYS with chia. I like mine really thick (rolled oats with steel cut oats to add texture), but if you use steel cut oats, it’s much more of a soup.

  2. i just came here to say that i saw this post on tumblr and was like “WHAT THE SHIT this looks so delicious i’ve got to check it out” before realizing that it was our post and in fact a post that i edited and scheduled, so good work all around, team
