  1. I’m a bit confused about the inclusion of the “Queer Times” article here. The article itself seemed, at best, pretty dismissive of identities that don’t fall into rigid categories. (For instance, the assertion that a woman’s feeling like “part of the family of queers and trans people” (instead of identifying as a lesbian) “looks like a barely adequate consolation prize” seems presumptuous, and it feels pretty insulting to those of us who don’t identify with a clear-cut label and love the ambiguity!) And the website where the article was published looks like it publishes some more overtly anti-LGBTQ articles. I mean, I fully respect your right to include any links you want here! I was just surprised to see this in a roundup that’s typically focused on more fun and celebratory types of articles.
