Queer as in F*ck You

The passing of Andre Leon Talley has really shook me to my core. And I think, more than anything, this is really it:

I’ll let Saeed Jones take it from here:

“Andre Leon Talley’s sense of self was culture. And, I argue, it was culture at its best. One look at him and you wanted more for yourself. Another glance and you understood that “more” could look like anything as long as it was what you wanted for yourself.

‘There is a famine of beauty.’ And look at us now, trying to make something worthy from memory’s hem.”

An Ode to Andre Leon Talley by Saeed Jones for himself.

    • Yes, read it, it’s very good. Because I have stayed up way too late reading these articles, I finished that one, promptly thought “wow this is really good I bet AS would want to link it,” and submitted the link as a Hot Tip. 🤦

Might need to dig out those old Fuzzy Fogtop books my mom read me when I was little.
