Mary Lambert Is Engaged, Love Keeps Being Not a Lie!

Like you, I am pretty much terrified to open up any app on the internet and look at the news in the morning — but some days! Some days! Like today! The news is good! So good! And today that news is that Mary Lambert is engaged! She posted a photo on Instagram showing off her fiance, her ring, and her proposal last night with the caption: “I’ve dreamt of this moment my whole life. We’re gonna get married in front of god and everybody!!!!! I love you, Wyatt Paige Hermansen!!!”

The actual engagement took place on stage during one of Mary’s concerts, this one in Fayetteville, Arkansas, where the couple participated in an “on-campus discussion about mental health, queer identities, and radical self-love, punctuated by Mary’s beautiful songs.” Having seen Mary Lambert about a billion times live and having met her at A-Camp, I feel like her getting engaged at a grand piano is just exactly correct.

I don’t know much about Mary Lambet’s fiance, except that they co-host the The Manic Episodes podcast together, and also what I’ve gleaned on Intsagram in the last 30 minutes. The most important thing being that their Insta name is one_chance_fancy as is in “Here’s your one chance, Fancy, don’t let me down” from Reba McIntyre’s iconic “Fancy,” one of the greatest songs ever written and recorded. And also that they seem just super duper happy which makes me super duper happy.

So many congratulations to the happy couple, and thank you for letting us celebrate alongside you!
