Foolish Child #85: Happiest Season

Dickens and a friend discuss the hot new queer sensation "Happiest Season" which Dickens insists they have never heard of, much to the annoyance of their friend ("Are you fucking with me again??") and the delight of the reader, as Dickens quotes famous memes like Mariah Carey's "I don't know her." In the end though, Dickens say they don't want to see the movie, because quote "K.Stew could NEVER."..

    • Hello Heather Hogan. This animated film can be found on Netflix and involves a square pumpkin and a green cat, coming together against all odds to help three little kittens find a home. There’s singing! And dancing! Snarky pumpkins! Diva pumpkins! Talking spiders! And **MAGIC**. You might like it or I might just be conditioned to know every word from having watched it one thousand times with the Toddler.

        • Oh yeah, so Spookley the Square Pumpkin is an old Halloween/fall children’s book/animated movie and, twenty years later, they decided to make a Christmas special follow up. Forgot that little nugget. They do partnerships with schools and pumpkin patches all over the place.

    • It’s the feel good endings and general lack of stress-inducing storylines that get me. Same with J.Lo movies, to be honest. They always come out on top.
