A-Camp workshop pitch: We just watch this episode and squeal about how cute Avalance is

Sara and Ava go back to summer camp together to try to save missing kids and give Ava some childhood memories of her very own.

After more than five years at Autostraddle, Yvonne is stepping down as senior editor. But before she goes, she wanted to take some time to reflect on her time here and to thank the incredible team and community that she’s had the pleasure of getting to know over the years.

I carved a tarot pumpkin (all the tarot suits, not posting a picture because I messed up the Cups) and roasted the pumpkin seeds (not pictured because we ate them before we could photograph them) and asked my new oracle deck if there were any messages I needed to pick up from the beyond. I pulled this card.

Perhaps he would have loved me enough. I’ll never know, and my eschatology doesn’t include a heaven from which re-embodied souls watch over our earthly lives. All I have is speculation about how he might have reacted to his daughter’s bisexuality, and to his daughter not being precisely a daughter at all.

This week, the Sun published a fascinating letter in their Dear Deidre advice column, in which a (presumably straight?) (presumably real???) married woman describes falling in love with another young mother at her child’s school and wonders if their tawdry extramarital affair is built to last.

The first question people asked me when I got engaged was what I was going to wear to the wedding. My impulse reaction was to blurt out, “how the fuck should I know?”

Any app is a dating app if you have confidence and a good selfie. Combine that attitude with Instagram’s many features for actually getting to know what someone is like and connecting with their life, and you’re halfway to adopting a cat with someone or just sucking their face off, whichever you’re looking for.
