Hey you guys, thanks for the crosswords I guess but how about adressing what is happening with your subject editors? I think especially a lot of long time readers and A Plus members are super confused and honestly a bit angry.
Yup, here’s an angry A+ member. The silence about this latest move is so out of character for what I have come to expect from this site. If the fundraisers that the community has consistently stepped up to meet were not enough to keep afloat with your existing staff size, why not be more frank about that and set a higher goal? And why would the cuts start with these three? These writers have been with AS for years creating some of the best, most varied content. Nobody here is dispensable, but it seems like there ought to have been some other folks/features on the chopping block ahead of them.

Will there be more crosswords? I crave them. It has been so long. The NYT crossword doesn’t understand me like the Autostraddle crossword does.
