Also. Also. Also: JoJo Siwa Is “Very Very Happy” In New Relationship, Keeping the JoJo Happiness Brand Strong

Not included in the link round up, but I guess Fox News hired Caitlyn Jenner as a correspondent today? And the White House had perennial Autostraddle favorite Amy Schneider over for Trans Day of Visibility. I am both incredibly happy for Amy and wish the Biden administration would do more than lip service and publicity stunts when it comes to the anti-trans laws sweeping the nation (and yes, obviously his administration does more than the alternative, but we can have higher standards). Two things can be true.

Queer as in F*ck You

JoJo Siwa Reveals New Relationship: ‘I’m Very, Very, Very Happy’: In a podcast interview for Rachel Uncensored released on Wednesday, JoJo announced that “I am not single and I don’t want to mingle. No, I’m a loyal lady.” Later in that same interview, she noted, “I went around the block. I did, and I tried a lot, and I learned a lot and I’m very, very, very happy where I am now.” Does this mean JoJo Siwa got back together with her ex Kylie Pew? Listen I don’t know, but I’ve been told JoJo-saga watchers on our staff that passionate fans on TIkTok believe so?!?

Speaking of happy (the theme of today!), very happy for you Trinity!

Do you know who’s interviewed in this? Oh that’s right it’s our very own Drew Gregory (the whole read is also very good!) Revolutionaries: Inside The Trans Sex Revolution On Screen

Admittedly, I don’t know enough to know enough, but I had a strong (and mostly, angry) reaction to this? Which makes me want to learn more, so that I can be more clear in my own position: The Left’s Climate Playbook Is Already Outdated. “Russia and inflation are pushing America into a new climate era.”

Carmen is Autostraddle's Editor-in-Chief and a Black Puerto Rican femme/inist writer. She claims many past homes, but left the largest parts of her heart in Detroit, Brooklyn, and Buffalo, NY. There were several years in her early 20s when she earnestly slept with a copy of James Baldwin’s “Fire Next Time” under her pillow. You can find her on twitter, @carmencitaloves.

Carmen has written 714 articles for us.

  1. Carmen you completely uttered my thoughts in your opening. I feel like Biden keeps on going on the fact that he isn’t a raging pentelho like trump but that doesn’t make him a god. I mean yes tax rich people we should have already been doing that but you don’t need to give more money to the police to make yourself look like your ‘tough on crime.’ You wanna eliminate crime? GIVE THAT MONEY TO THE COMMUNITIES WHO NEED IT

  2. Nice that we got X on the passport, but I think a better idea would be to just not have gender on the passport at all. Cause having an X or really any gender on a passport as a friend pointed out could make a person an even bigger target at airports or anywhere that requires a passport.

  3. Did you see the news of the British MP who came out as trans? It’s a rather sad story, but still also important as a role model. I hope he will do well after this. I’m not in the UK so I have no clue about his politics or anything. But as a person, what he’s gone through can’t have been easy.

(At the moment of me typing this requested pronouns are still he/him.)

*CW for sexual assault, blackmail over being trans, PTSD, car accident, Boris Johnson being himself after the link*

  4. Dove Cameron still freaks me out by looking like a porcelain doll that came to life and is overly concerned with looking sexy, but I have to give her props for that earworm of a song. That is a VERY queer song.

  5. I am curious as to what your reaction was to the Atlantic article? Some of the analysis of the past was a bit meh but the emphasis on finding creative solutions to a new situation cleared the air for me at least.
It is common in Australia and New Zealand to make jokes about Americans complaining about gas prices. Generally without considering the effect on people without our safety net. I am often curious as to how the climate crisis is talked about in yr country outside of the politics we see.

  6. To be fair, in the area that I live in everything is so expensive that living wage starts @ $25/ HR. I make $18/ HR, work 60+ HR weeks and would probably be homeless if my partner didn’t make more than me. Some places just suck!

  7. well, it’s an amazing Article I like the way how you describe things. I would like to thank you to share this valuable information with us. keep up the good work. Thank you again.

  8. Dove Cameron continues to frighten me since she resembles a porcelain doll that has come to life and is excessively preoccupied with seeming seductive, but I have to give her credit for that catchy song. That tune is VERY odd.
