Re the HPV testing for cervical cancer screening – we have had the HPV testing screening program in Australia for the last 3 years, and the linked article isn’t clear about what is happening in the States but the recommended HPV test is still a swab collected by a health provider with a speculum exam.
There is a self-collected vaginal swab available for people who are underscreened or never screened.
It is a huge improvement in that a normal test does not need to be repeated for 5 years!
