  1. yes! i clicked on Autostraddle this morning hoping it was your week for a cartoon!! I constantly tell myself that going out is so difficult because people are the worst!! I also <3 Andy so much, not to mention dancing himself into or out of any situation. hahaha.

  2. Omg Arrriiiiii!

I tried to be the block for someone at the met gayla this year. I couldn’t get them past the wall of tall people, but I could at least mostly stop the tall drunk ones from stepping/falling all over them without looking like I was deliberately doing so.

  3. You know, I have slightly mixed feelings about this one! Especially as a short person who gets to concerts early to stand in the front but is sometimes (every time) shoved by latecomers trying to move up! I’m pretty excellent at standing my ground, and I have “blocked” for friends against these shovers. But still! Having to deal with that is my least favorite part of attending a concert. However, maybe I would be more forgiving of Andy and co. then I am of the terrible young men who are usually the perpetrators.

  4. this same thing happened to me at a Flogging Molly show, except instead of the comic ending, as soon as the music started, everyone started moshing and I nearly got crushed.
    Fuuuun tiiimes… :\
