I met Marni for the first time at a GO Magazine Party in New York City in April of 2010. We both had girlfriends. She'd been a longtime reader of my blog and website and wanted to meet me — but she wasn't a complete stranger since she'd been internet friends with Laneia for a few months at that point. Then, because they all lived in Brookyln, she'd become real life friends with Taylor and Kip, who also worked for Autostraddle back then.
