New York offers a variety of queer events, but it can be hard to find a party that starts before 10pm — most of us have work in the morning and need our beauty rest. When you do get out to the party, you typically encounter a gaggle of fresh-faced adorable gays who don’t remember when MTV played music videos. Bless them, but it can be alienating for us more seasoned folks.

This party is for any queer-identified women (and queer-ID’d folks who date us) over the age of 30! That includes lesbian, bi, pan, queer, trans, non-binary, gender expansive, butch, femme, etc and anywhere in between.

Meet-Up at the Inside the Black Triangle Denver Pride Booth for an interactive art activity. Meet Rachael Zimmerman, the creator of ITBT, along with influencers: fitness coach Ashley Lynn, artist Kennedy Underwood, creative director/founder of Mass Musings Kayte Demont, and model Hannah Ogden.

Turn right when you get to the Woods Coffee, and meet up on the grassy area in front of the little Pavilion at the end of Boulevard Park for a chill, unstructured, queer, pride month hang out!

CREATIVE PEEPS! Do you like art and happy hour drinks? Girl(friends) is hosting an all female and non-binary art show for New Year’s Day! We are party series called Girl(friends)– it’s a music and friendship meet-up for girls and non-binary people to connect with other girls and non-binary people. Our next party is going to be a New Year’s Day party (Jan 1st). It’s our first year anniversary event at the Friend Bar in Silverlake. We’ll have a Female/non-binary vendor market that opens at 4, live performances from 6-9, then DJ after that.

On Sunday June 28, the anniversary of the start of the Stonewall Riots, we threw a little digital shindig to celebrate Pride as an uprising and to raise money for Women for Political Change in Minneapolis. ALL WE’VE GOT is a personal exploration of LGBTQ* women’s communities, cultures, and social justice work through the lens of the physical spaces they create, from bars to bookstores to arts and political hubs.

In ALL WE’VE GOT, filmmaker Alexis Clements travels the country to explore the factors driving the loss of these spaces, understand why some are able to endure, and to search for community among the ones that remain. From a lesbian bar in Oklahoma; to the Esperanza Peace & Justice Center in San Antonio, TX; to the WOW Café Theatre in New York; to the public gatherings organized by the Trans Ladies Picnics around the US and beyond; to the Lesbian Herstory Archives in Brooklyn, the film takes us into diverse LGBTQ* spaces and shines a light on why having a place to gather matters. Ultimately, ALL WE’VE GOT is a celebration of the history and resilience of the LGBTQ* community and the inclusive spaces they make, as well as a call to action to continue building stronger futures for all communities.
