Dainy Bernstein studies American Haredi children's literature and teaches literature and composition at Lehman College, CUNY. Ey grew up in Boro Park, Brooklyn, and attended Bais Yaakov girls' schools before getting eir BA from City College of New York and eir PhD from the CUNY Graduate Center. Eir current projects include a book about the development of American Haredi children's publishing and the literacies these texts foster, a bibliography entry for Oxford Bibliographies Online about Jewish American Children's Literature, and a finding aid for Haredi children's titles.
