About Me

About Me

I’m a sociology student living in the American Midwest. I don’t know what you’ve heard, but there are no baskets of bread or fountains of beer. But there are cows, and they do run when it’s about to rain.

I love words, I love writing them, and reading them. They are the only children I could ever dream to have, and I’ve only had to send them to their room a handful of times. I write erotica. I write gay erotica. I write straight erotica. I write– I think I just saw a vagina.

I say cunt a lot. I stay in contact too little, and I ask too many questions. I love music, I love books. I think that Kindles are the first sign of the apocalypse. Not really, but close.

Favorite Quotes

“My best guess is, marriage is the chief cause of divorce.”
-M*A*S*H*

“in the end, the experiences we had together, and the memories that then formed, those didn’t matter. Instead, it was the absence of memory that defined our togetherness, the things we never did together: we never kissed in the rain; we tried once, but it was only drizzling. We never spent the night together as teenagers, there never came a weekend when parents went out of town. We never had dancing lessons or took a summer art class together. Those gaps in memory are what give birth to loneliness, when all you can remember are all the things you did not do, things you only read in books or saw in movies, superimposing your faces onto perfectly framed bodies. That is love, when you only wish you had done more. It’s almost as though you feel you are forgetting something, you are forgetting that there is nothing to forget. It is something the opposite of amnesia. We are all scrambling to recover memories of lives we never led.

The list goes on: we never made love in a hotel in South Carolina.
We never visited the Smithsonian.
We never held hands and watched fireworks on the Fourth of July.

We never, we never, we never.”
– bernard hitch

“Our integrity sells for so little, but it is all we really have. It is the very last inch of us, but within that inch, we are free… I shall die here. Every inch of me shall perish. Every inch, but one. An inch. It is small and it is fragile, but it is the only thing the world worth having. We must never lose it or give it away. We must never let them take it from us. ”
-Valerie’s Letter: V for Vendetta

“A man said to the universe:
‘Sir I exist!’
‘However,’ replied the universe,
‘The fact has not created in me
A sense of obligation.'”
-Stephen Crane
