About Me | I’m a sophomore in college, and an economics and math double major. I hope to attend a PhD program in economics and become an econ professor, because Keynes needs more defenders. |

What I Like
Favorite Books | Catcher in the Rye, 1984, Brave New World, Fahrenheit 451, On the Road, A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, Me Talk Pretty One Day, Persepolis, Looking for Alaska, the Poisonwood Bible |
Favorite Queer Books | I haven’t read any yet because I live at home and my parents suck. :( |
Favorite Movies | Performance (1970) is the best movie ever. Everyone here needs to watch it, ASAP. It’s super homoerotic and artsy and weird and I fell in love with the female lead as a 15 year old. It’s basically the movie that turned me gay. (Also, Mick Jagger stars in it, so it’s a must-see for any Rolling Stones fans. It explains much of the dynamic between him and Keith at the time to see Mick fuck his girlfriend.) |
Favorite Documentaries | Who Killed the Electric Car, Supersize Me, Miss Representation, any documentary about a president. |
Favorite TV Shows | …the L Word. Only on season 4 though. Also the West Wing and Mad Men. |
Favorite Music | Tegan and Sara, An Horse, Bikini Kill, Kaki King, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Who, Badfinger (really anything from the 60s-70s classic rock scene), La Roux, Sick of Sarah, Hunter Valentine, kd Lang. If poems count as music, then Andrea Gibson also. So beyond amazing. |
Favorite Sandwich | anything vegetarian |

Favorite Quotes | “One thing I find in general is how little people truly understand what it means to be a feminist – and that it’s still a necessary movement, not a project that ended. I’m always telling people being a feminist is like being part of any human rights movement – it’s ongoing and should always exist, no matter how much has been accomplished.” – Sara Quin “A doctor once told me I feel too much. I said so does God, that’s why you can see the Grand Canyon from the moon.” -Andrea Gibson “You wanna know what the right wing never got? We never questioned the existence of God; what we questioned was his bulldozer.” -Andrea Gibson “I’m so distracted by being gay all the time that I need a personal assistant.” -Sara Quin “Find your own way, but it is better to be out than to be closeted. And I can say that in terms of quality of life and in terms of what’s ethically right for your community. It is better for other gay people if you’re out. The more people that come out the better. That’s the only thing that I encourage anybody to do. And I certainly live that.” -Rachel Maddow “the only performance that makes it, that really makes it, that makes it all the way, is the one that achieves madness.” –mick jagger “nothing is true. everything is permitted.” –the old man on the mountain |
