Do you like pumpkin spice, or does it repel you?
Why talk about TV all the time when we can just get legendary internet recluse scribegrrrl to come summarize the last three months of television for you? 30 Rock, LOST, Spartacus, American Idol, Dollhouse, Desperate Housewives, Grey’s Anatomy, Damages, Modern Family, Nip/Tuck, and so much moar!
Dollhouse ended-it’s true- but its vast, unrealized potential burns on in the minds and hearts of Joss Whedon devotees everywhere. Dollhouse’s finale was a fitting end to another of Whedon’s semi-failed tv successes, but maybe not for all the right reasons.
Carlytron compiles an EPIC 2009 television wrap-up wherein she gives absurd awards to your favorite shows and characters.
Our beloved shows march off into the lonely winter months with jokes! Recaps of Gossip Girl, Modern Family, 30 Rock, the Office, Ugly Betty, FlashForward, Parks and Recreation, and Saturday Night Live.
This week everyone on tv was kissing someone of the same sex. That’s so… gay! It’s Televisionary time, featuring 30 Rock, The Office, How I Met Your Mother, Gossip Girl, Grey’s Anatomy, Eastwick, Flash Forward, and more!
Sometimes I feel like Callie & Arizona will never make out again. Instead, we have Drew Barrymore’s soft butch, Modern Family’s truly modern family, Hillary Duff’s hotness (maybe), and adorable episodes of The Office & How I Met Your Mother.
On this week’s Televisionary: Carlytron gives up on Heroes, questions Dollhouse & How I Met Your Mother, loves Gossip Girl, continues to go off on Grey’s Anatomy, and more! You know, the usual.
Carlytron yells at Grey’s Anatomy (again), wonders why she still watches Heroes, wonders why YOU aren’t watching Dollhouse, and gives you her Tron’s eye view on Gossip Girl, How I Met Your Mother, Saturday Night Live, and more.
Grey’s Anatomy’s EPIC 100th episode featured a wedding (shockingly NOT Mer/Der, but Iz/Al!), the most tragic college graduation of all time, and LOTS OF LESBIAN SCENES. Thank you, Grey’s writers, for finally indulging us a tad bit. You played hard to get for a long time but here we are.
“Anyone with eyes and a brain (or not) knows that Blake Lively is hot, but Serena as a character is always awesome. Whether she’s (somehow) putting up with stupid Dan, or dealing with Blair’s insanity, or on her own crazy downward spiral, she’s always awesome. “
“Back in high school when I was figuring everything out, I was hyper-aware of every lesbo storyline on TV and would record them all on one VHS tape and then I took it to college with me and now I’m a giant lesbian.”
A bunch of my regular shows weren’t on this week — which was actually a good thing, ’cause the drama ensuing from the LiLo/Sam Ronson breakup is more than adequately taking up the time I would normally spend watching Gossip Girl. But there’s always plenty of exciting avenues to travel down/talk about before May sweeps heats up.
Wanda Sykes has a show you guys! Also crazy stuff happens on Gossip Girl and Heroes, and per ushe, we love Portia.
In which Carly loves Dollhouse, falls asleep during Grey’s, and should probably start watching Skins.
BETTER! OFF! TED! Oh man, this show totally impressed me. Smart writing, hilarious premise, and Portia was amazing. Her character on this show is kind of a combination of her two prior regular television roles (Nell on Ally McBeal and Lindsay Bluth on Arrested Development). I highly recommend this show, I can’t wait to see more.
Well, I’ll be covering tech and TV. I’m not sure if I’m necessarily “qualified” … but I love gadgets and tech and TV quite a lot, which helps. My unique point of view is enhanced by my television watching habits. I watch an inordinate amount of TV.
