I met up with singer-songwriter Alex Lahey while on tour at her San Diego show.

“When I opened the bar in 1991, we had a jukebox. Yeah that’s about it. Back then folks were not so intent on being in fabulous spaces. They just wanted a safe space to congregate.”
“I use my art as a form of activism. I want my art to convey pride and courage, fearlessness through bold color. Creatively, this IS the time for artists to rise and do our part.”
Last week, Molly accompanied LA-based Stuzo to New York Fashion Week’s largest queer fashion show, iD, presented by dapperQ.
“I’ve loved dance ever since I was convinced I was Sporty Spice and my living room was Madison Square Garden. I started classes at age 12 and haven’t stopped since.”
Molly followed Sharpe Suiting’s founder and CEO, Leon Wu, around with her camera for a day and learned all about his LA-based company that creates gender-neutral ready-to-wear clothing and custom suits (and now dresses!) for all body types and all identities.
