  1. The fact that “Not an Addict” is on here just made my day! Knowing that beautiful voice belongs to a lesbo…bonus points!! No wonder it was on repeat in my car for pretty much my entire senior year in college ;)

  2. I made a Perils of Lesbianity mix for a friend last year. I tried to cater for both her reasonable cluelessness about lesbionic music, and the more experienced ears of others who would listen.

  3. Autostraddle Confession: I can’t do dyke music.

there i said it. i’ve felt guilty about that for years. i’ve tried, i swear…forcing myself to “really listen” this time to tegan and sarah and the countless lesbionic playlists exes and friends have made for me and it just doesn’t work.

i even tried with this playlist and i just can’t lol.

but i do like me some dixie chicks, tori amos, ani difranco…maybe i just like old lesbian music.

i feel so left out haha.

*note on tegan and sarah: i am 100% a fan of the track “Feel It In My Bones” w DJ Tiesto.

so maybe i just like to dyke out to a fist pumpin beat…?

  4. Brandi Carlile? Oh man, Brandi Carlile. I’ve had a girl crush on her for years. She’s gay?

I guess I should have noticed all the love songs with names like “Caroline” and “Josephine”
