“Jo’s trans identity was just another integral part of her character, and it developed very naturally — she was a leader, she was VERY passionate about being a Lumberjane, she was also trans.”
Jeez, Abigail, what did the Grootslang ever do to you?
I think this is genuinely the first time I’ve seen the list of winners from a major award and not just been not-dissapointed, but been genuinely happy.
Seriously, that should be enough to convince you to read the book and this review.
“Queer Sultry Summer,” the newest full-color mini-book from Autostraddle and Everyone is Gay, featuring new writing, illustrations by Rory Midhani, and an exclusive original Lumberjanes comic and so much more. It’s the best thing we’ve ever made. Seriously.
Pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease make these adaptations faithful to the books!
Barney’s back! But there are some weird snow monsters! And a gorgeous but mysterious hunter woman! What’s going on!?!
This standalone issue isn’t just a perfect place to jump on, it’s one of my favorite single issues so far this year.
Lumberjanes was excellent! The proposed Joker variant cover for Batgirl #41, not so much.
“Okay, first things first, this is the most freaking adorable cover to a comic book I have ever seen in my life. And the inside of the comic is just as cute!”
Mal and Molly go on a picnic-that’s-really-a-date! April, Jo and Ripley share a bunch of puns! Dinosaurs are back!
Definitely read these books.
If you were on the fence about buying it, the credits page calls the issue “a flippin’ sweet Susan B. Anth-ology.”
As we come upon the final issue of the first run of Lumberjanes, let’s reflect on just how freaking lucky we are to be alive in a world where this comic exists.
The issue that answers all your burning questions! Or at least, like, three-fourths of them!
With lots of amazing cosplay photos. Because, seriously, wow.
Dressing up like your favorite comic-inspired character is one of the best things about Halloween.
“By the way, what the heck is going on with Diane? Is she possessed? Has she always been a secret mythical ancient being? Why is she saying the golden bow that the girls found is hers?”
The Lumberjanes are back! This time they have to deal with mysterious forest apes, campers from the near-by boy’s camp and a whole lot more. We also exclusively have the complete, official playlist from this issue!
