Crystal’s Team Pick: Behind The Scenes With The Kills

Last month we got amped up about Blood Pressures, the brilliant new album from the Jamie Hince and Alison Mosshart duo, The Kills (buy).

The band have followed up with a short behind-the-scenes film that’s required viewing for any Kills enthusiast. For 11 minutes Hince and Mosshart humbly discuss the making of the Blood Pressures and also the band dynamics, their insights ranging from the amusing (“there are some songs on there”) to the adorable (she’s my sister, I’d do anything for her”). The video features some sweet acoustic jamming as well as plenty of visual and aural moments that reaffirm the band’s status as cool as fuck. Enjoy.

  1. Blood Pressure has been on repeat in my car since it came out- it’s one of few albums that I can listen to every song on without skipping tracks. I love The Kills.
Anyone else notice Jamie’s hands? He has the hands of a longtime guitarist.

  2. Solid team pick Crystal this is such a good find! ohhh Alison Mosshart you’re all that i could ever want. Cool as fuck, damn straight they are.

  3. i loveee this band :) i usually skip songs on my cd too while in the car but all of their albums i let play on repeat! :D and yeah probably the epitome of cool

  4. omg alison mosshart.

but having said that, i preferred it when their music was more visceral.

  5. still find it a bit weird that they’re playing with a drum machine though – definitely looking forward to see how their live performance is this summer.

  6. Thanks for this, they are the coolest. Jamie Hince is one of my favorite guitarists around today, and I’m in love with Alison Mosshart.

  7. Me love Alison long time.
I prefer her in The Dead Weather, but this album was beyond exceptional.
