Crystal’s Team Pick: An Honest Lesbian Relationship

If you’re like me and of the belief that jokes about the dating habits of lesbians will never ever stop being funny, you’re in for a treat! Montreal-based comedian DeAnne Smith has created a 5-min video titled “An Honest Lesbian Relationship” which features little animated animals saying adorable and totally relatable things like “trips to IKEA will be the new oral sex!” and “storage solutions make me hot!”

DeAnne was my first ever Autostraddle interviewee and therefore occupies a very special place in my heart. Check out some of her work.

Autostraddle cannot exist without the generous support of our readers. We're running the fundraiser through March 29th! We're out of immediate danger...but we had to ask...what if we could survive for longer? Will you help?

  1. Hee! The “emotionally unavailable suddenly” part? yeah, too true. AND WE HADN’T EVEN GOTTEN TO JUNO YET.

DeAnne was on Good News Week and both my boyf and I fancied her a little XD I cheered when she came up and said “Australia: Because casual racism is quaint!”. fuck yes.

  2. this is hilarious! deanne smith is one of the funniest comedians around, IMO. she and i slow danced one time and it changed my life forever. if anybody in montreal is reading this, you should really check out her ‘Stand Up, Strip Down’ nights at theatre ste-catherine, and also her storytelling nights at cagibi if they’re still happening.

  3. Told my mom this morning over breakfast “so I saw this video today…” and proceeded to tell her about it with quotes, etc… And she goes “That’s funny because today I saw a video just like that where a lady goes to heaven and she tells st Peter she protected marriage by fighting gays and…” Will post a link to THIS video here soon, because I think we all need to see it as well.
