100 Lesbian Kissing Scenes From 100 Movies

Lesbian sex/makeout/necking/heavypetting scenes are commonplace in heterosexual pornography, but less so in actual mainstream cinema. Nevertheless, if you comb through all the movies that have ever been made anywhere in the history of the world with screencaps accessible on the internet — you can find well over 100. We’ve found 100, and are sharing them here with you today.

Autostraddle Anonymous Sex Toy Review #8:

It’s our eighth Autostraddle Anonymous Sex Toy Review! Over the last few years, we’ve been propositioned frequently by sex toy companies wondering if we’d like to review their toy in exchange for, you know, their toys. In 2011, in addition to “saying yes to the dresswp_postswe are saying YES to the sex toys!

This week we have the Minna Ola from Babeland.

  • Size: 8″ x 1-1/2″
  • Material: Silicone
  • Price: $165

Sometimes toys can be sort of weird and mechanical, especially if you’re using them with a partner. If you feel like just pressing a button is a little too impersonal, then the Minna Ola is for you! You do need to press a button to turn it on, but after that a touch-sensitive pad means that every squeeze and pressure from your fingers is translated into vibration. The more pressure from your hand, the stronger the vibration. The touch-sensitive technology is apparently pretty sophisticated, so the correspondence is REALLY accurate and REALLY great. If you’d like a happy medium, where being able to directly control the toy’s vibration is neat but sometimes you just like to chill out, the Minna Ola can be told to memorize a pattern of pressure, which you can cycle to your heart’s content. Until something better occurs to you, at which point you can have it memorize something else. I know! I know. “But is it waterproof?” you ask. YES. Yes it is. It’s like it knows exactly everything you want. Because it does!

  1. sooo… I’m really happy that this is up so early. I was thinking of ways to waste time and what better way to waste time than a NSFW Sunday post? I was thinking, have you guys done a hot girls and cars post? Cuz that’s something I would love to see on a NSFW Sunday!

  2. Wow. I moved into my awesome new place not long ago, have just gotten it all cleaned up, my furniture is being delivered from Ikea today, and right now I am sitting with a cup of tea beside me listening to Iron & Wine, and I did not know that my Sunday could get any better, but it just did. Thanks, AS.

  3. Now let’s make a list of all the ladies in hollywood who have played lezzies more than once. I know that I have a chance with:

    Piper Perabo.
    Heather Graham.
    Evan Rachel Wood.
And half the cast of the L Word.
Oh. And Anna Paquin, if ever she finds herself single…

Anyone else I should watch out for on the street?

  4. I know you picked from a selection of mainstream cinema, but I definitely don’t relate to any of these screencaps. When you find 100 Lesbian Kissing Scenes that include black women (and judging from this list, any women of color at all), I’ll be more than happy to take a look.

      • I did actually. And I see what you are saying and am happy to see that one photo. As for the rest they are usually coupled with a white woman, and just at a glance of looking at the photo spread, white women is what one would see. This may be me being a little grumpy ( I do need nap), but I shouldn’t have to comb through them with my nose to the screen to catch the other four or five.

    • There are a few– and I do stress a few– WOC in there, and not necessarily paired up with a white woman…Indian women, Asian women, Black women….there was a bit of colour, but yes, there needs to be more. I wish I had seen some first nations women– we are even further marginalised. Maybe I just need to make a movie? (not be in it, just make it…..

  5. After Sex w/ Zoe Saldana + Mila Kunis …actually I can’t remember if they kiss or not.

Chloe w/Amanday Seyfried + Julianne Moore …same thing.

She Hate Me was the most diffuse move I have ever… but the kitchen scene with Kerry Washingtion and Dania Ramirez… !!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Not only do Amanda Seyfried and Julianne Moore kiss, they have sex too and it is a glorious sight to behold.

And word to the kitchen scene between Kerry Washington and Dania Ramirez. The rest of that movie is disgustingly offensive towards lesbians but that one scene is great. Kerry Washington needs to play lesbians more often.

  6. Jessica Capshaw has played a lesbian more than once, but on the small screen. Grey’s and The L Word as far as I know.

Also, I read the comments about “She Hate Me.” Really interested to hear about why many of my queer girls find it offensive to lesbians. Someone please enlighten me!

    • It’s been so long since I saw “She Hate Me” but basically it’s about a guy who looses his job and decides to become a sperm donor to lesbians. The thing is he has to do it the “old fashioned” way. There is no going to down to clinic or jerking off in a cup for these ladies. No, we are treated to scene after scene of him plowing lesbians while they scream in ecstasy. Scene after scene after scene! One of the major complications in the film is that one of the lesbians he “donates” to is his ex-girlfriend for whom he is still in love with. He doesn’t even attempt to hide his feelings and the partner of the girlfriend is very jealous of their relationship. So jealous that she gives up any and all dignity she might have had and decides to sleep with this guy too and gets pregnant as well. So both of these women are pregnant by this man and the girlfriend just can’t live without him so the movie ends with the three of them living this poly fantasy, raising their babies together.

Maybe I’m being really sensitive about this movie but I found everything about it ridiculous from beginning to end, particularly the girlfriend just giving up at the end and accepting this man as the third in her relationship when we were shown that she found this entire situation suspect from the get go. That was what that entire kitchen scene was about. She’s crying because her girlfriend is being insensitive to her feelings and instead of having a real conversation about it, they passive-aggressively fuck each other on the kitchen counter.

    • Oh. I never said I found it offensive to lesbians. I thought it was diffuse and all over the place. …I guess if your’re sensitive you could find the fact that he had sex with 25 lesbians offputtinh. They all wanted kids with their respective partners and in this reality artificial insemination was not an option.

Also, it had like 50 different plot lines. Like a lot of Spike Lee films, he tries to tackle to many societal topics in one hoorah and the result is disjointed and frenetic.

Kerry Washington used to date the main character (Anthony Mackie) and is currently dating Dania Ramirez. I think she cheats on Dania with him at some point. Or maybe she cheated with Dania when she was with him. I was confused. I think all of the aforementioned happened.

At the end she doesn’t seem to want to give either one of them up and they end up in some polyamorous relationship that suits her, but I don’t think Anthony or Dania are all that content, but they go along because they both are in love with her. It’s like Snookie, Eric, and Bill. Or Torrez, Arizona, and Mark.

So if you consider her character fluid and not lesbian (because she doesn’t state that), then at least her arc is unoffensive.

Also his sperm yields an entire Kindergarten class full of lesbian moms.

  7. Thanks for enlightening me folks! I have actually seen the movie, but I watched it through a different lens. I felt annoyed about the ending, but appreciated the movie more for what it illustrates about black masculinity than what it says about lesbians. And ditto Charly. I think that Washington’s arc isn’t offensive because I don’t get the impression that she is a lesbian. She loved the Mackie’s character, but she also loved Ramirez’s.
