  1. Hahaha… Totally been there, but in Vancouver!

    More Funny Things Prospective Landlords have said:
    – di you like music?….I don’t like noise.
    – no boyfriend, right? No overnight guests!
    – there was mold in the walls, but we took care of it…
    – don’t worry about the leak; it only leaks when it’s a heavy rain
    – the last guy was filthy… He brewed beer here and used it as a workshop. Don’t worry, I’m making him clean before he leaves. and! I’ll redo the carpets.
    – there was a rat problem before, but only because the previous tenant was filthy. You won’t have a problem.

  2. Ha! Reminds me of the time my friend and I decided to be roommates and found a great ad for a 2 bedroom in Highland Park – now this was before it become the gentrified, hipster town it is now. Turns out the “second bedroom” was just a converted garage. And to access the bathroom, I had to enter my friends room because that was the only way in.
