  1. Wow, what a beautiful tribute! I hope he gets to see it.
I love Elton and his music. Once I rented a car and drove an hour and a half to see him in concert. Have to make it to one of his Vegas show.

  2. Megan!! My heart ❤️ This is so beautiful and thoughtfully written. Thank you for sharing this!! He was my first concert! 2001 Face2Face tour with Billg Joel. Lol!

  3. Totally can relate to the drawing characters from his songs — I did the same thing, but it was always Daniel, waving from a plane. I get playfully teased for how much I love Elton John to this day. <3

  4. My cousin is a huge fan of Sir Elton, ever since she was actually a tiny (jazz/ballet/tap) dancer. A few years ago, my mom had a few too many drinks at a PTA silent auction, and bought a Lion King movie poster signed by Elton John himself. My cousin got the best birthday present ever that year, lol.

  5. Wow this was amazing. Half way through I was kind of expecting to see a mention of the track All the Girls Love Alice.

  6. Kudos on this comic! The art styles are much more varied than the strip normally is. It really nails the different time periods and environments. You can tell it was a lot of work and I love it!

  7. Oh this comic was WONDERUL!! I love that Elton John is one of those artists where so many people have stories about him. Clearly evidenced in the above comments as well as the comic itself!

My story: my parents named me after an Elton John song (I’ve always gone by Ami but my full name is Amoreena). When I came out as gay to my mother as a teenager, I was sitting on her kitchen floor, crying, so worried about how she might react…and she just laughed and said “Well honey, we DID name you after an Elton John song”
