Playlist: Feminist Disney Princess Jams

This year at A-Camp I’m hosting a feminist Disney Princess Sing-along and you, my friends, are invited! Disney’s really got some hot jams, which coincidentally, are also often feminist jams! I want you to have this playlist to sing along with while you’re in your shower, in your car, and with your pets! This list is not equitable: not every princess got a song while some princesses got two. “I’ll Make a Man Out of You” and “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King” are included because one might argue that feats of strength and identifying as a prince are Non-Binary Culture ™️. Please, enjoy and share widely. I can’t wait to sing with you!!!!!

    • Continuing on the “that person” train, did Disney buy up the Rodgers & Hammerstein rights for their Cinderella musical? Because in that case, then damn, Disney really does own everything.

      • The best Cinderella (come at me!), the race-blind one where Brandy is Cinderella and Whoopi Goldberg and Victor Garber have an Asian son, is Rogers and Hammerstein, AND was produced by Disney as part of their “Wonderful World of Disney” made-for-tv movie series. So, yeah. They own everything.
