Crystal’s Team Pick: Metric Debuts “Black Sheep” Music Video

Back in February, Metric released a track called “Black Sheep” for the Scott Pilgrim vs. the World soundtrack. Did you know that? I can’t actually remember whether I did or not.

Metric have released the “Black Sheep” music video – a live clip from the San Diego Comic-Con in July.

  1. This is worth delurking for!

Emily Haines is my life-partner, she just doesn’t know it yet. And seeing Metric posted on Autostraddle is truly the loveliest communion.

  2. I didn’t know this song existed, but I’m glad I do now. Thank you.

Also, can somebody please explain the “I lesbians this song” comment. It’s one of the highest rated comments on the YouTube video (for now, at least) and I don’t really ‘get’ it…at all.

    • Thank you for bringing that comment to my attention.

Um, I don’t know. Maybe this is a new thing people are doing? To show express lesbian-ish desires?

      I lesbians Emily Haines.

    • I don’t know what’s wrong with these nerds. Nerds can get down. Trust me, I’ve been to a Freezepop concert.

  3. Oh my God. I love her almost as much as I love Tegan and Sara, and they are my most favorite people in the world besides my girlfriend. Why are these ladies so amazing? If only Kaia and the lovely Karen O. were in there too, it’d be a whole flock of “wish they were lesbians”/”wish they knew I existed”.

  4. I am totally in lesbians with Emily Haines.

My friend had a extra ticket to a Metric concert and took me with. At one point I got so excited that I screamed “EMILY HAINES, MARRY ME IN CANADA!” at the stage.
