Perler beads are the easiest way to make pixellated art all over the place. The aesthetic of tiny, not particularly detailed patterns look almost exactly like the early days of Super Mario Bros. or The Legend of Zelda.

With some plastic beads, a plastic pegboard, some parchment or wax paper and an iron, you can relive your childhood or create replacement memories with which to erase it.

Last Nerdcraft, we showed you how to craft with perler beads. And we all discovered exactly how much we missed these little buggers from our long-ago childhoods. Below, we’ve collected the nerdiest perler bead patterns and ideas we could find so you can follow along with Nerdcraft at home! Consider this Craft Like A Nerd 102!
