  1. Went into this confidently thinking I’d get 50 and only got 45 😭

  2. 46 but a couple were educated guesses. I somehow got D.E.B.S wrong, I’m blaming my low screen brightness.

  3. I got 41 which is pretty dang amazing considering that I’ve only seen maybe 4 or 5 of these. I credit AS’s movie coverage with teaching me about movies I have not seen.

    • I also got 41 but mostly based on Autostraddle coverage. I’ve only actually seen a handful, and some of those were becof Autostraddle reviews.

  4. 42 !?! I also credit AS’s movie coverage because, to paraphrase Lesley Ann Warren, “I ain’t got no culchure” !

  5. 47!

I’m kind of bummed that for the three I didn’t know I didn’t get lucky with my random choices (22, 30, 48), but on the flip side I feel validated in not having an artificially inflated score.

Also highly disappointed that every single screenshot wasn’t of two lesbians pressing their foreheads against each other.

Otherwise, an incredibly perfect quiz experience.

  6. 100%!! What a thrill! I think I only had to make one or two educated guesses.
I’ve seen 26 of them (and started 4 others that I got distracted from and didn’t finish)

  7. Ha, 42/50, with a few I knew, but pressed the wrong button 😆 And others educated guesses.

  8. 40/50.
I haven’t seen a sapphic indie movie since probably 2012 apparantly.
And yes, I also know most of these from AS 😁😁😁

  9. 50! Technically 49 but it was only because I pressed too many times as the next one loaded.

    • it’s ok the same thing happened to me and i made the quiz and honestly still have not recovered from that moment of personal failure

  10. Many thanks to Autostraddle’s top 50 list for helping me score a passable 40. I will be putting “Certified Sapphic Cinema Expert” on my LinkedIn

  11. i am very truly impressed by how much movie knowledge everybody has picked up simply from seeing autostraddle reviews and lists!!! i was worried it would be too hard cuz i have a skewed view on what is “common knowledge” in the world of lesbian pop culture.

  12. Considering how many I haven’t seen, and the number of times that were pure guesswork based on names of movies I remembered hearing about, I’ll take my 27 happily. I do need to see more of them, though.

  13. 44! Nice,considering that I made a mistake on one or two answers 😅
Also, I thought it’d be higher score but I haven’t seen a couple of the newer movies.

  14. 46/50 and honestly disappointed with that. But hey, that means, I’ve got 4 new (to me) films to see asap.

  15. I’ve seen at most 5 of these, but got 37. Entirely due to Autostraddle, which provides my only knowledge of queer cinema!

  16. 50/50. I have watched 34 of them, but some of them I have on DVD but haven’t gotten around to watching yet. I wasn’t sure about the Penélope Cruz movie, but I knew which one was a Pedro Almodóvar movie, so that made it easier to guess.
