+ YouTube has made a deal with several of its most popular stars to create scripted video series for YouTube Red. Ten creators were taken to Sundance last year to work with industry professionals to develop their ideas into scripted series, and one of the shows that earned a development deal comes from bisexual writer/actress/advocate Gaby Dunn and her best friend Allison Raskin. Everyone’s a Liar is “a case-of-the-week series about a duo who start a private agency to investigate the morality of friends, business partners and significant others.”

+ The America’s Next Top Model reboot continues to exist and air episodes, and on Monday night, another cast member came out, more or less, when Marissa revealed that she doesn’t think love has a gender. She explored this genderless love for a three-hour fling with Kyle, who is 23. “There’s a lot of drama in the house right now. I just want to go and get away from all of them,” she confessed. “I didn’t expect to necessarily hit it off with anybody in this house. Marissa is only 18 — almost 19-years-old — but very confident in the fact that she has a somewhat alternative sexuality, and she has really no hesitation with any of that.”

+ The season premiere of Degrassi: Next Class featured a clash between semi-closeted Student Body President Zoë Rivas and the Queer Straight Alliance over designating space for Syrian refugees.

  1. the link for Dorothy Snarker wasn’t working for me. but guh. that trailer.

Is it just me or do they look a little Fried Green Tomatoes? I think Riley Keough looks like Mary-Louise Parker anyway…

  2. Also apparently Gaby and Allison are putting out a YA novel according to Gaby’s insta so hey thats cool

Also Also, Canadians where are you watching Degrassi: Next Class because only season 1 is on my netflix ?

  3. I don’t know if Will & Grace will work in 2017 but I am so there for Anastasia Beaverhausen.

  4. i didn’t know about jackie’s sister and i find that interesting. it’s good they’re supporting her, even though judging by their caginess over their political views they’re probably more conservative.

  5. I hadn’t seen that Volley ad on TV here but the Aust Christian Lobby having a whinge about it won’t surprise anyone in Australia. Only a very few hard right Christians of the US style Evangelical brigades pay them much attention, although they bash a big drum and play to the Alt Right trouble makers in politics. It will be interesting and instructive to see what comes of the trouble they’re trying to stir up.

  6. Hey guys, if you can help it, I’d like to you to consider not linking to The S*n again. It’s a deeply hateful tabloid and it represents the exact opposite of what Autostraddle stands for. I live in Liverpool where there’s been a boycott for almost 30 years now, for the way they smeared the victims of the Hillsborough catastrophe and, by extension, the whole city. They’re nothing more than opportunistic liars aiming to promote the Murdoch agenda.

  7. As ANTM pointed out this week, Kyle is no Ruby Rose. I really dislike her. I mean, why is she still here but Giah’s not? Or Tash? But ANYWAY, MARISSSAAAAAAA. Does anyone else recognize that Marissa is the queer second coming of Selena Quintanilla? But with an even brighter, more dazzling smile than once thought possible? I love seeing her put Kyle in her goddamn place.

  8. That Call The Midwife article says you have to be a premium subscriber to view it. What did she say?
