Vanessa’s Team Pick:
Calling all LGBTQ artists in the New York City metropolitan area! Would you like the chance to showcase your work in a one week group art show at a prestigious gallery space in Manhattan during Pride Week 2013? Duh. Well you’re in luck because Rachel Wilkins wants you and your art!
Wilkins is an artist originally from Liverpool, UK native who now lives in New York, and she reached out to us because she’ll be co-curating a show at the end of June. The show will be called “Love Out Loud” and will hopefully be a fantastic collaboration and representation of the community. Wilkins also said that in addition to curating the show the gallery will also be raising funds for an LGBTQ charity, as a way to give back to the community. So what does Wilkins need for this group show? Why, art of course! From you!
