We’ll be devouring more than mashed potatoes and stuffing on November 26th this year, because Netflix has made the truly bonkers decision to release Season Two of queer chaos show Hunting Wives on American Thanksgiving. I guess that’s one way to bond with grandma! (Random fact: my parents and I almost started watching this show together when I was visiting one time, but decided against it. When I watched it on my own, I was very grateful. That could have been traumatizing for all of us.)

I guess this beautiful disaster of a show IS something to be thankful for. Season one brought us Brittany Snow’s wide-eyed naive sad girl Sophie as she navigated a new messy world of Texas housewives, headed by enigmatic and commandeering Margo, where they hunt for sport both literally and metaphorically, targeting problematic relationships and seducing all the wrong people. It’s a delicious mess of a show and I loved every insane second of it.

Season two promises to be wild, with twists and turns we surely won’t see coming. And hopefully more sapphic sexytimes, since Sophie and Margot seem drawn to each other, and they’re not the only ones with queer intentions running around town. It does seem promising, because when asked about the “naughtiness” of season two, the stars commented that if not more, it definitely does not have less than season one.
