Season one of The Hunting Wives was a wild ride, and I have a feeling season two is going to be even wilder. The full trailer dropped and it has me clapping and kicking my feet at the sapphic chaos about to descend upon us.

The trailer opens with Sophie’s husband asking if Sophie is “still dreaming about her” (“her” being Margo) and a few flashing scenes implies that yes, yes she is.

Other things we see flash by: a glam cowgirl photo shoot, Margo being manipulative to all kinds of people, and Callie being a sad ex and using a photo of Margo as target practice.

This show also knows exactly what it is and is leaning into it. For example, the song playing is Nancy Sinatra’s “Bang Bang”, which is the perfect backdrop for this trailer full of guns and sex and chaos. And the tagline for the season is “someone is going down,” which the narrator says while the visuals cut between a dead body and also a more…explicit interpretation of the phrase.

Based on how season one ended, I can’t wait to find out how Sophie ends up back in Margo’s bed (and her bubble bath!), and luckily we only have one month left to wait.
