News of the upcoming Rebecca Ferguson and Greta Lee film broke in a mysterious way: with cell phone photos that caught them canoodling on set. We didn’t know much for a while, but more information has been slowly but surely coming out, so here’s what we know so far:

  • The name of the movie is Honeymoon/Funeral, and it has been filming in London.
  • It will be directed by lesbian creator Nahnatchka Khan and gay screenwriter Julia Bicknell (who also wrote on Haunting of Bly Manor and Yellowjackets, so…consider me a fan already).
  • The two women played by Ferguson and Lee will meet on a 10-hour flight and then proceed to spend a week in London together (which we all know is basically a year-long relationship for lesbians).
  • Ferguson’s character is returning home for her mother’s funeral.
  • Lee’s character will be going on her honeymoon alone after being left at the altar.
  • Carrie Coon will be playing said ex who left Lee’s character at the altar.
  • Rebecca Ferguson and Greta Lee have previously worked together on Kathryn Bigelow’s 2025 political thriller A House of Dynamite.
  • None of the three actors tied to this project, as far as I can tell, have played queer before (nor does it seem like any have publicly identified as queer…but we’ve all seen Rebecca Ferguson flirting with women on red carpets sooooo…)

Sadly that is all the information we have at this time, but I, for one, am excited to see such a big names attached to a sapphic project. I love a lesbian romcom, though nothing has ever captured my heart quite like Imagine Me & You…here’s hoping this one takes the cake.
