Crystal’s Team Pick: Thom Yorke Gets His Groove On

This weekend it was near-impossible to escape the news that Radiohead released a brand-new album, The King Of Limbs, which you can download for a very reasonable price right here. Have you heard it? What do you think?

Also released was the music video “Lotus Flower,” a black and white clip featuring the usually gloomy Thom Yorke getting in touch with his groovy side. It’s a confusing yet strangely uplifting five minutes of music and dance.

This clip has inspired a million parodies including Thom Yorke dancing to “Single Ladies”.

  1. “a confusing yet strangely uplifting 5 minutes of music and dance”….was a very goooood choice of words.
I caught most of the album on triple j’s presentation last night, interesting stuff. I found it to be quite thought provoking….

  2. I’ve listened to about half of it so far, and I’m waiting to hear the rest until I can set aside some time and make sure I can listen to it all interrupted. I’m not ready to say I’m in love with it, but I’m definitely in like with it.

  3. i think this video is amazing and thom is always foxy, somehow for a guy, i just keep thinking if only he was a woman. But in all seriousness this is awesome for him to do this is huge he usually seems really closed off from showing his emotions. Like in interviews and whatnot obviously some of his songs are really personal but for him to be so vulnerable, expressive and emotional here is awesome! and just lovely. Thom rocks and just radiohead in general is wicked. It’s been too long since the last record. :D
