  1. For all the amazing AM/PM article we’ve been reading, this feels a lot closer to my experience of a morning routine!

  2. I feel like the most adult thing to be doing sometimes, is to be saying no.
    Like, hell no.
Although throwing coffee into the equation might turn this into an ok, maybe, grunt kind of situation.

  3. Legit bought an espresso maker because I am not a morning person and it was too much work to walk across the street to Starbucks.
Also I love the comfy orange chair. I have a comfy raspberry chair, where I drink my hastily made espresso and pet cats and complain about it being too early.

    • This! When I need my coffee, damned straight I’m not going to’ve first become any semblance of “presentable”. (Have I mentioned I miss my espresso maker? A few moves ago now, but oh, to be able to get started with a fresh quad shot mocha with caramel syrup.. so wonderfully civilised!)

  4. Wow this really hits home!! I typically have a morning walk routine but lately I’ve found that just lazing in bed with my girlfriend is just…better sometimes and I don’t really feel the need to justify that

  5. “…pinned down by the weight of a promise I’d made to myself that I no longer found value in.”

DAMN. I have never felt more seen.

  6. I mean, you made it round the corner, which is much further than I ever willingly go in the mornings? But yes, I feel very seen right now.

    • Really? I figured you’d spend your mornings in that amazing Lowtown Hat Shop and then go hang out at the Hanged Man with Hawke and Varric. =)

  7. i could never force myself out of bed in the morning just to prove a point. getting a dog really helped because he has to pee and even when my gf takes him out i feel too guilty to stay in bed so i get up and make bfast. but now i take naps so i guess i sped right into the 60+ adult category.

  8. I truly believe “adulting” is a myth made up by morning people and not to sound like a fortune cookie, but sometimes the most adult thing to do is understand your own limits and build your best life around them.
