JoJo Siwa and Gal Pal Katie Debut Matching Christmas Outfits

Like snow on a winter’s day, missives from our earnest fave JoJo Siwa’s courtship with 19-year-old TikTok user Katie Mills have been falling from the sky in various formations and landing on our telephones and computer screens. Witness, below, our most recent message from the North Pole / JoJo Siwa’s basement!

We literally watched it twice then went for it hahah!! 20/10 🎅🏽 Our faces at the end make me so happy we were so proud

It’s important to unlock the Matching Christmas Outfits level of lesbianism as soon as possible in your relationship, as any successful queer person could attest.

Three nights ago, the twosome made very big news: as humans and animals across the universe settled into their sofas or recliners with their soda pops to watch a Lakers/Suns game on their television, America’s queer niece JoJo Siwa was right in the middle of the action — seated courtside with aforementioned Katie. The squeaking of sneakers, the scent of sweat, the whoosh of the ball through the net: all of this and more was right there in the air for both to enjoy an unobstructed view of american sportsmen flexing their skills and talents in an enclosed, crowded space.

Prior to the commencement of the sports game, JoJo and Katie created a dance video for TikTok. In a subtle callback to a recent courtside dance with her Dancing with the Stars partner Jenna, JoJo Siwa and Katie Mills performed synchronized movements to Doja Cat’s “Get Into It (Yuh),” which JoJo captioned with the words “my favorite tiktok dance of all time.” The sheer volume of content this girl creates every day!

Little did JoJo and Katie know that some amount of time thereafter, they would find their date interrupted by a physical collision from Phoenix Suns player Jae Crowder, who crashed into the duo while pursuing a basketball threatening to land in the vast unknown, aka “out of bounds.”

In instagram stories shot at the game, we see JoJo living her stated dream of eating a hot dog courtside at a Lakers game and recapping the collision, during which time her life flashed before her eyes. She ponders at length the possibility of breaking her neck.

Fortunately, both girls survived with necks intact for another day. But the basketball dance was not their first dance! Last week, Katie posted a video on her TikTok of the twosome dancing to “You’re a Jerk” shortly after they’d been spotted holding hands in sunny Hollywood, California.

Katie is 19 and was raised Mormon in St. George, Utah, and currently plays soccer at Snow College in Utah. JoJo and Katie met through social media around two weeks ago, allegedly.

  1. I want to wish JoJo all the happiness in moving on from her breakup and finding career success in DWTS, hosting Ellen and her upcoming tour. But I cannot support her associating with a Trump fan who is linked to racist and transphobic content and made racially insensitive content herself. It’s really damaging to JoJo’s image as a young queer icon.

  2. I’ve been skeptical about the ridiculously high amount of Jojo Siwa content since she came out (because I’m in my 30s and she’s so young). This post is in poor taste given this girl’s politics. I think it’s a major downfall of “identity politics” writ large to spotlight people based on a single identity alone. It reminds me of how AS used to mention Kristen Sinema. If Jojo Siwa is dating a Trump supporter, I don’t think you all should be writing 500 words on that relationship.

  3. there seems to be an assumption that AS staff/eds knew about the political affiliations prior to posting. maybe instead of an accusation, a question could be asked – like ‘is AS aware of/ok with x?’ and could also provide help with receipts for staff to check?

it’s clear that JoJo Siwa is popular and channels traffic which helps revenue which helps AS exist, which we all want. it’s easy enough to imagine that this isn’t sth staff knew about prior to posting the piece. maybe there’s more to the story we don’t know about. maybe life is a bit tough right now and we are all struggling to keep up.

thanks again to the people who brought up the issue. hopefully we learn more soon and can make informed decisions about content we consume.

to celebrators, merry christmas. to everyone, peace and love.

  4. also no offense there are a lot of conservative and moderate lesbians especially outside of major cities.

autostraddle is far left and that’s fine but it’s not the majority of
lesbians outside of the duper queer trans non binary sw brooklyn oakland pockets

i only come here for vapid fluff because representation is so low

but yeah i’m a mod dem and don’t care if a lez is repub. it happens more than you think

also tons of lesbians in armed forces and police its even a trope.
