I’m visiting family this week and about an hour ago I texted my cousins like “who wants to hang out” and now I have two of my favorite people in the world coming here any minute with French Fries and a bottle of wine and THAT is happiness.

  1. I have some good news and some bad news! I’m working in my school’s library, which is amazing (my boss is also one of the sweetest people in the world.) but it’s also really lacking in LGBTQ+ books. So with the help of my Boss we are doing what we can to get more in the library. The bad news is that The Mat-Su Borough School District is trying to prevent us from having trans children’s books in our kids section though, which is obviously terrible. But we’re going to do what we can! I have hope!

    • Wow that was amazing! I spent nearly the entire video just watching at their feet, because that was brilliant. The JoJo dance was fun but as often happens in DWTS they use a lot of stunts to distract from the actual basis of the dance. And their hold looked more like ballroom tango to me but I’m not sure.

    • I wonder if part of it is that they are hesitant to make the girl on girl dance too sensual. The way they danced felt like it was trying to skirt the line of being too sexy for middle America.

  2. This is a follow up about the library books: we ordered a whole bunch of books! Most are YA fiction but we are going to have some kids books. Sadly we had to “compromise” with the district we couldn’t put them in the general kids section but they are getting their own special shelf and will not be labeled YA thankfully.
