Paula Akpan is a journalist, historian and the creator of the Black Queer Travel Guide. Her work mainly focuses on blackness, queerness, and social politics and she regularly writes for a variety of publications including Vogue, Teen Vogue, The Independent, Stylist, VICE, i-D, Bustle, Time Out London and more. Paula is a published essayist and is currently doing a Master’s degree in Black British History, with a research interest into the lives, politics and organising of Black British lesbians from 1970 to 1990.
