Christy Henderson Jenkins is a California-based author, actress, singer, and social justice activist. She survived a childhood kidnapping and sexual abuse, life on the streets as a teenager, arrest at Stonewall and incarceration afterward, gender conversion electroshock therapy at Bellevue Hospital, and an encounter with a serial killer who targeted Black women in South Central LA. For decades, Christy maintained her privacy about her role in the resistance inside the Stonewall club. She’s now sharing her messages of faith, love, resilience, and the importance of unity in the queer community. Learn more in her memoir, No Where to Fit in: Survivor of the Grim Sleeper, and her online interviews with OUTWORDS and GLAAD.
