How is this week both flying by and dragging its feet as heavy as anvils??? The only way I even know it’s Wednesday is because it’s Pop Culture Fix day!
+ Carmen really wants you to know Tessa Thompson’s in a suit in Thor: Love and Thunder, cause no one told her and it took her 24 hours to find out and that is an unacceptable amount of time to not know that!
+ Hasbro has released their Love and Thunder action figure line-up and Valkyrie finally looks legit in hers, unlike her Endgame figure that had her holding a tiny blue dagger.
+ Look who’s on public radio talking about Sex Education!
Writer @draw_gregory was impressed by how @netflix show #SexEducation handled representation – like with the nonbinary character Cal. But she’s also been let down by the show at times. One thing she thinks the show nails? Incorporating feedback. More: https://t.co/OdQwfVKYdD pic.twitter.com/pntRVeSRtr

+ Janelle Monáe’s Dirty Computer comes alive in a new collection of stories.
+ Pedro Pascal compares HBO’s Last of Us series. to The Mandalorian.
+ The new Fantastic Beasts movie is flopping. :)
+ Jodie Whittaker’s final episode of Doctor Who wlll feature some big blasts from the past.
1: Can’t wait for Love and Thunder. Tessa Thompson looks immaculate 😍
2: Fantastic Beasts is not flopping. It’s still the best opening on Easter weekend. Take that haters! 😌
3: Janelle Monae wrote a sci-fi book??? When did this happen? 😁
I cannot imagine stanning for HP like, there’s so many other way better fantasy series out there and you’re choosing one of the shittiest ones because what, nostalgia and bigotry?
Could not be me.
Nostalgia and joy, yes. Bigotry in the franchise? Not at all, at least not in the books, or films, that’s for sure.
They will always have a special place in my heart.
The books and movies are laden with bigotry. For example, the Black and Jewish wizards have surnames like Shacklebolt and Goldstein. In the movies, there is a running gag where an Irish student can’t seem to perform any spells without blowing something up. The wizarding banks are guarded by anti-Semitic caricatures. There is literally a slave race that supposedly enjoys enslavement! Have I made my point, or shall I go on?
I will never be ready to read Jodie Whittaker and Last in the same sentence. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
In South Korea, Spurs’ exhibition match against a local all-star side sold out within 25 minutes. It also became the most streamed sporting event in the country’s history
