Hello my baby, hello my darling, hello my ragtime queers! How the heck are y’all?? My week was… so good y’all. I reconnected on FaceTime with my best friend and got to meet her new new boo (😍), another friend played yenta for me and I had a very cute date, I mastered sourdough brioche, AND Alexei only puked on the floor once! Cancer season is almost over y’all, and the second best astrological season of summer is coming! Don’t give up!
Okay, enough good news about me, let me tell you some good news from the world this week!
+ Some women skydivers are gonna jump out of a plane to celebrate women’s suffrage! Thrilling and terrifying! good for them!
+ Okay, this will be the best 65 seconds of your day, I think. Bob’s Burgers gave us the gift we didn’t know we needed in their quarantine short.
“In my experience, directors want actors to feel comfortable, but actors are kind of indoctrinated and conditioned to believe that the director is God,” Schachter shared with Refinery29 in the same interview. “Or that you as an actor are going to be labelled ‘difficult’ if you’re not willing to go the distance, even if you’re not comfortable.”“Having an intimacy coordinator mediates that hierarchy and power dynamic so that actors have a neutral, third party person that they can talk this stuff out with without feeling like they might be risking the integrity of the scene.”
+ The Old Guard, a new film on Netflix said “gay rights AND superheros!!! Get into it [unnamed cinematic universe that struggles with the inclusion of queer characters!]”
+ RIP John Lewis, a man who fought for all civil rights, including gay rights. (He also loved cats, so I’m giving him an honorary lesbian badge for the day)
I hope everyone had a safe holiday. I spent some of the break playing with my cats. pic.twitter.com/ETJg4uO5Go

The world is good, we’ve gotta believe that to make it true. Love is real, we’ve gotta believe that to make it true. We will overcome, and we’ve got to believe that. I love you so much, I love sharing good news with you, I can’t wait to do it again next week. Rest when you need to rest, tell someone you love them, take 35 pictures of your cat in the same position. We got this friends!!!! Let’s make this week amazing.
