okayyy i am founding the No Times Club, party of one, membership me, because i do not have a go-getter nature and i’m realizing that trying to Do It Fast, even when successful, is detracting from my enjoyment of the crosswording experience.
so! that aside, today’s puzzle was interesting because i hit a wall pretty quickly trying to do the across ones in order, but i switched to working backwards from the last down clue and it was smooth sailing.
Me too! I am also in the no times club! I could wait too find out what sort of “studies” we were doing from getting the downs.
Agreed on not wanting to prioritize times. None of my initial guesses worked out for the across clues–always the wrong number of letters. But then I did the vertical ones and everything clicked into place.
i also hit a wall really early with this one but with a little help (lol) I got there in the end!
i have no idea if it’s a reference, probably so, i am an expert in missing those, but i find your username delightful!
I don’t like focusing on time either! I find it a but stressful to look at the clock so I ignore it. I like taking my time!
