About Keira Mac Neill

Keira Mac Neill is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Minnesota working on a queer and trans labor history of San Francisco in the 1970s and 1980s. Her research focuses on how sexuality, race, and service work shaped the development of the city’s gay neighborhoods as well as its broader impacts on gay electoral politics and historical thought. Keira serves on the University of Minnesota's Graduate Union Bargaining Committee as a representative of the College of Liberal Arts and on the Board of the Committee on LGBT History.
