Carolina (or Caro) Flores is a philosopher from Lisbon, Portugal, where she just moved back to after 9 years in New York and California. She is currently an assistant professor in the Philosophy Department at the University of Lisbon. Her academic research focuses on ignorance and why it’s hard to change people’s minds, with dalliances in queer philosophy. Her non-academic writing has appeared in Jacobin, Big Think and Liberal Currents, among other places. When not writing or teaching, you can find Caro lifting weights, taking pictures, sampling silly hobbies, and stringing social plan after social plan. You can follow her on Mastodon or Bsky (@floresophize) or learn more about her work at her website, carolinaflores.org.
