I am a late bloomer, coming out in my late 30’s, but I’ve known since I was 10 years old I was attracted to girls. I was born and raised in the buckle of the bible belt so ignored what I wanted and did what everyone else expected of me. I was the good little baptist girl, finished school, got married and had 3 kids, which was worth the hell I lived with their father for 13 years. I finally found myself and my voice, lost friends that are bible thumpers, found a whole lot more friends in the GLTB community, spent 12 years with my first girlfriend, who cheated on me after I was injured on the job and became disabled. I am now married to a very wonderful and understanding woman I met on the internet. She can handle my disability and is helping me find ways to overcome some of my chronic pain and inspires me to get out and do things.
